Welcome to 16 Chancery Lane

Centrally located in the village of Hay-on-Wye, Chancery Lane is moments away from bookshops, the Castle, the river Wye and surrounding countryside, and all the other charming shops, bookstores, galleries, cafes and pubs that make Hay so unique.

Originally built in the 18th century, the cottages in Chancery Lane once housed the poorest families of Hay. Originally named  "Pig Alley", Chancery Lane used to be a holding place for pigs before being led to the town market.

The cottage was restored in 2023 by Steffan, a native Welsh speaker from Cardiff and Kirstin, a New Zealander who immigrated to the UK to study in 1996.

Bedrooms

Lovely cosy, tastefully decorated house in a brilliant location.  Spotlessly clean and very comfy beds.  Three nights wasn't enough.
